India and Australia are all set to take lock horns in the 2nd T20I. The upcoming game will be special for the Team India trio, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. While Rohit will become only third Indian to play 300 T20 matches (including IPL and other domestic T20 games) behind MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina. On the other hand, Rohit can also become the highest six hitters in the shortest format of the game, leaving behind Chris Gayle and Martin Guptill. Rohit just needs 2 more sixes to surpass the top big-hitters.
Captain Virat Kohli will be eyeing going ahead of MS Dhoni and joining the list of hitting 50 T20 sixes. As of now, Dhoni has hit 49 sixes in T20s while Kohli is at 48. Dhoni can also join the list of hitting 50 sixes in the upcoming match against the Aussies. If all three manage to get themselves in the record book, it will be a record-making T20 for India.
Also, spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is also just 4 wickets away from completing 50 wickets in T20Is. If Chahal manages to do so, he’ll join teammate Jasprit Bumrah in the 50 T20I wicket list.
Talking about the match, the 2nd T20I will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Bengaluru. Team India is 0-1 down after a poor batting performance which led to a three-wicket loss in the opener. India will be eyeing a series-saving win. It will be the first time that the two teams will be meeting at Bengaluru.
