Women in Blue are all set to kick start their ICC Women’s World T20 campaign today. The women will lock horns against New Zealand women in the opening game of the tournament. The team will be led by power-hitting batter Harmanpreet Kaur. Ahead of the game, two stars of India men’s team, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane have wished the side best of luck.
Till now, the Indian team failed to win an ICC trophy. However, this time they are strong and confident enough to end the ICC trophy drought. At present, India played 5 World T20 tournament with their coming in 2009 and 2010 when the team managed to made a semifinal appearance. In 2018, India is placed along with Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Ireland in Group B.
