The dominant Indian women’s team would be looking to seal the three-match ODI series when they will take on South Africa women in the second ODI today at Kimberley. It is seven months after the stupendous ICC Women’s World Cup last year and the Women in Blue shook off rustiness with ease, crushing Proteas women by 88-runs in the 1st ODI.
Riding on opener Smriti Mandhana’s brilliant ton laced with 14 fours and one six and Harmanpreet Kaur’s 55, India women’s team posted 302/3 in the 2nd ODI against South Africa in Diamond Oval at Kimberley.
If the Women In Blue wins today’s match, they automatically will qualify for the 2021 World Cup as they would have won two of the three matches. If South Africa wins today’s match, then Indian women have one more chance on February 10 when the third ODI is scheduled to be played at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom.
