Hoffenheim’s Nazario set for Brazil move

Rio de Janeiro: TSG Hoffenheim’s midfielder Bruno Nazario is close to joining Brazilian Serie A club Cruzeiro, the 20-year-old has said.

Nazario has played just two matches for the Bundesliga club since 2013 and spent last season on loan at Poland’s Lechia Gdansk, reports Xinhua.

“Negotiations (with Cruzeiro) are 80 percent complete,” he said on Sunday.

“The proposal was made a few weeks ago. I’m very excited about the opportunity.”

“I have grown a lot both on and off the pitch. Europe is totally different to Brazil and there is an adaption process. I played there when it was 20 degrees below zero. I learned that you can’t stop working your hardest.”

“I am really motivated and prepared for the challenge. I have to show the manager what I’m capable of and earn a place in the team.”

Cruzeiro finished eighth in Brazil’s top flight last year after winning the previous two Serie A titles.
