Euro 2020: More than 2000 Scottish fans test positive for Covid-19

The UEFA Euro 2020 is becoming the new COVID-19 hotspot in Europe. Especially in the United Kingdom, a sharp rise in Covid positive cases has been observed.

Despite all restrictions imposed by the organizers, more and more fans are testing positive each day. Recently, over 2,000 Scottish fans have tested positive after attending England vs Scotland game in Wembley, London.

According to reports, of the 1,991 cases registered by Public Health Scotland, almost two-thirds said they had travelled to London to watch England v Scotland on June 18.

397 of these fans attended the game at Wembley Stadium. A PHS report said that 55 cases were linked to a fanzone in Glasgow, 38 to Scotland v Croatia and 37 were linked to the Scotland v Czech Republic game at Hampden Park.

According to the report, nearly 75 per cent of the people who were tested positive after the Euro matches were aged 20 to 39, and nine in 10 are men.
