Mumbai : Manushree Patil and Havish Asrani earned a double in the 5 Star Mumbai Suburban District Table Tennis Championship, at the Goregaon Sports Club.
Patil, who recently earned another double in the YMCA state ranking, beat Aditi Sinha for the sub junior girls title, and overcame Ashlesha Trehan for the youth crown. Patil was denied a triple when Trehan avenged her defeat in the junior girls championship round in a 4-3 thriller, after trailing 2-3.
Havish Asrani remained on a roll when he bagged the midget and cadet boys titles following confident victories.
Aman Balgu won the men’s title, while Divya Deshpande-Mahajan won the women’s crown following a tight win over Charvi Kawle.
The other winners were, Pearl Amalsaidwala, Sampada Bhiwandkar, Dev Shroff, Ravindra Kotiyan and Mandar Hardikar.
