Shoaib Malik hit an 18-ball half century in Pakistan's Super 12 match against Scotland in the Men's T20 World Cup on Sunday, equalling KL Rahul's record for the fastest in this edition.
Chasing 86 in about seven overs, Rahul hit Scotland's bowlers to all parts en route the record on Friday.
Malik walked in after Mohammad Hafeez fell with five overs left. He then proceeded to hit the Scottish bowlers to the fence in Sharjah, and helped Pakistan score 43 off the last two overs. He hit three successive sixes off leg-spinner Chris Greaves in the last over, which cost Scotland 26, finishing unbeaten on 54 off just 18 balls.
