After defeat by England, India stormed back in the World Cup with a victory over Bangladesh to secure a berth in the semi-finals. However, cricketer-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar who faced the heat on social media for his ‘poor’ commentary during the match.

While many muted the television screen during his commentary, others asked Star Sports to ban the former cricketer from commentating further in the World Cup. Manjrekar is a part of the elite commentary team in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Looks like fans did not like the biasness he showed towards the Indian batsman while they were at the crease.

But this was not the first time Manjrekar was trolled. A few days ago, Manjrekar had made a comment about Dhoni, calling the latter “our” watchdog behind the stumps. And the use of that pronoun has left some fans angry, who believe that as a commentator, Sanjay can take no sides. “Here’s something interesting about Dhoni -. 41 off 87 balls v spin this WC. But in the warm-up games 69 off 56 balls v spin. That tells me it’s mental too. He does not put his wicket on the line as much in the big games. #ICCCWC2019,” Manjrekar's his tweet.

But yesterday, it was not just cricket fans who were trolling Manjrekar even celebrities like actor Siddharth complained about him. After which, #SanjayManjrekar started trending on Twitter.
