Mumbai: Defending champions Bodyline FC will clash with Bandra Packers in the women’s open final of the Catholic Gymkhana Rink Football Tournament. Bodyline produced a strong second half performance to overcome Companeroes SC 3-1 in the first semi-final played. Deepika Masurkar scored from two long efforts to power Bandra Packers to a convincing 3-0 win against Joga Invincibles in the other last four match to set up the clash for the championship.
Autonomous SC, defending champions in the men’s section prevailed over IC United 2-0 in a quarter-final encounter. Sellebrity FC powered by Bishow Thapa’s double strikes got the better of Tarun FC 2-1 in a gruelling and fast-paced last eight match. In the semi-finals, Sellebrity will meet Macabi Amboli who defeated Shalom United by a 4-3 margin, while Kalina Rangers ‘A’ defeated Bombastic FC 3-1 to line up against Autonomous for a place in the final.

Kalina Open football
The Kaka Baptista Sports Foundation and the youth of Kalina along with the support of local corporator Brian Miranda will be conducting the Kalina Open instant football tournament at the recently developed Joseph (Kaka) Baptista Ground, on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19, 2019. A total of 16 teams will be participating in this two-day tournament, which will be played on a knockout basis.
