Jaipur : Reacting sharply to the ouster of Lalit Modi through a no confidence motion, which was allegedly passed in a controversial manner, former RCA vice president Mehmood Abdi called it a black Day for Rajasthan Cricket.
Abdi said the voting numbers were fudged. “As per the High Court order minimum 25 votes were required to be caste in favor of the motion which comes to three-fourth of the total 33 RCA members. Since Amin Pathan could not muster the number, near this figure of 25, even in his earlier attempt, he sought for forceful prevention of 12 members opposing the motion.
“By doing so he sought to bring down the strength of the house to just 18 present wherein he had his motion passed. They were all the proposers of the motion,” Abdi alleged. —PTI
