Aston Villa sign Spanish footballer Jose Angel Crespo

Witton (England): English football club Aston Villa has announced the signing of former Cordoba defender Jose Angel Crespo till 2018. The 28-year-old Spaniard, who passed his medical this week, arrives here with a track record including Spanish teams Sevilla, Racing Santander and Cordoba, and Italian clubs Calcio Padova, Bologna and Verona, while he also featured with the Spanish national team in its Under-19, U-20 and U-21 categories, reports Efe. “Jose is a player who has been on our radar for some time and we’re really pleased to secure his signature. He is an experienced player who has played in La Liga and Serie A, two of the strongest leagues in Europe, and from speaking to him I know he can’t wait to play for Aston Villa,” Villa coach Tim Sherwood said on Tuesday.
