Mumbai: Seasoned campaigner Anuraj Bagri (-170 handicap) of Elphinstone Cricket Club came up with an impressive performance and eased past club mate Sunil Jain (-130) 200-106, in the Maharashtra Challenger Tour (Billiards 2019) organised by the Billiards and Snooker Association of Maharashtra, at the Bombay Gymkhana’s billiards room, here on Thursday.
Anurag came up with two useful breaks 70 and 62, to cross the finish line and set up a quarter-final meeting with Sidhraj Shah of Cricket Club of India, a 200-78 victor against Raj Khandwala (-130). Top ranked Sparsh Pherwani (-225) featured in three breaks of 54, 53 and 42 as he went on to snub the charge of Dharmesh Mistry (-100) 200-60, while second seed Hasan Badami (-190) progressed into the quarter-final with a 200-162 win over Hindu Gymkhana’s Sandeep Teli (-50).
