ALL- INDIA KALIDAS SAMAROH BEGINS TODAY

Ujjain: State School Education Paras Jain and minister of state for culture and tourism Surendra Patwa will inaugurate the 55th Akhil Bharatiya Kalidas Samaroh here on Tuesday.

Rajya Sabha member Dr Satyanarayan Jatia and Mayor Rameshwar Akhand will be the special guest. Renowned Sanskrit scholar and former Vice Chancellor of Darbhanga University, Bihar, Kishore Kunal will be the literary guest on the occasion.

Kalidas Sanskrit Academy director Prof Mithilaprasad Tripathi and deputy director Shashiranjan Akela addressing a press conference at the Press Club here on Monday said that renowned artistes will perform during week- long programme at the Kalidas Sanskrit Academy.

The programme will be inaugurated at 4.30 pm on Tuesday. There will be free city bus services from Mahakaleshwar temple, Gopal Mandir, Piplinaka and Nanakheda for visitors at 6.30 pm during the week long cultural event. LED and projectors will be installed at the academy for the live beaming of the event.

ALL- INDIA KALIDAS SAMAROH BEGINS TODAY

Renowned playback singer Kailash Kher from Mumbai will grace the Akhil Bharatiya Kalidas Samaroh on Tuesday. Kher has earned recognition across the nation through his pop rock singing. Kher was born in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh and received primary training in music from his father Mehar Singh who was a folk singer. When Kher was 14 years old, he left his home in search of a mentor and started taking training from Music School. He also experienced the style of Indian classical music gems including Pt Kumar Gandharva, Pt Bheemsen Joshi, Gokulotsava Maharaj, Nusrat Fateh Ali, Lata Mangeshkar and others. He also graduated from Delhi University. Kher gave his voice in several movies. He also gave more than 800 live performances at national and international level.
