In the best-of-13-games, Aarti defeated Surat’s Jyoti Maisuriya 7-1, while Adelaide encountered a bit of resistance before getting past Chetna Jain also from Surat by a 7-4 scoreline, at the MSLTA and Wodehouse Gymkhana tennis courts here on Saturday. In other matches, Rajshree Jaiswal of Nagpur got the better of Mumbai’s Shazia S. 7-4, while Dr Jyotsana Patel of Mumbai smoothly got past Pune’s Niyati Jirange coasting to a 7-1 victory.
