Mumbai: Millat FC produced a strong fighting display in the second half and slammed four goals to score an authoritative 4-0 win against Sellebrity SC in an Elite Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2018-2019 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Sunday.
The contest was evenly balanced in the opening period and the scoredboard remained blank at the end of the first half. However, immediately after the break Millat broke the deadlock when Dylan Monteiro hit the target in the 49th minute and 15 minutes later Tanzeer Bhojwani struck the second to double the lead.
Later, Baven Parmar netted the third in the 75th minute before Adnan Ishke scored in the final minute to complete Millat’s margin of victory. In another match, Vaibhav Kapre and Rishon Sam both scored a brace of goals to defeat Mumbai Strikers 5-0. CFCI’s fifth was a gift as Mumbai Strikers defender Rakesh Patne scored an own goal.
