Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' at 11 AM on Sunday.
PM Modi highlighted how he was inspired by track legend Milkha Singh and spoke about the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. He urged the nation to come forward and support all the athletes who would be heading to the Tokyo Olympics to make the country proud.
Further, the PM applauded the country's commendable momentum on the vaccination front and urged the nation to overcome vaccine hesitancy.
He also spoke about the importance of rainwater harvesting in monsoon season.
Speaking of Tamil language, he pointed out that he is a 'big' admirer of "Tamil culture and language" and said every Indian should cherish and feel proud that the most ancient language of the world.
In New Delhi, BJP members gathered to listen to the Mann Ki Baat programme. BJP National President JP Nadda and BJP Delhi's President Adesh Gupta presided over the function. Nadda addressed the members after the programme and planted a sapling.
