Vaccination against Covid-19 witnessed a halt on Wednesday as many inoculation centres ran out of vaccine supply.
On one hand, chaos gripped cities like Gurugram where long queues were witnessed at vaccination centres with people flouting social distancing norms. On the other hand, some centres in India wore a deserted look as vaccination was temporarily suspended due to lack of supply.
In cities like Nagpur, Ahmedabad, and Ranchi, people queued up outside vaccination centres with no information about the availability of vaccine.
"I'm still waiting for my second dose. It has been 86 days since I've taken my first dose," says, Shobha, a cancer patient, who was waiting outside a vaccination centre in Nagpur that was closed due to shortage.
"There is nobody to assist us. I've taken the dose but I'm here for the vaccination of my wife. We've no idea when will we get the vaccine," said a local standing outside a closed vaccination centre in Ahmedabad.
