Man fashions the tools by which he builds for himself heavenly mansions of joy, strength and peace. All these tools are made from the seeds of thought, seeds we alone can plant inside. We should understand this great truth and control our own destiny. Man’s passions, sufferings and happiness are evolved from within. As he thinks, so is he; as he continues to think, so he remains. A strong man cannot help the weaker unless the weaker is willing to be helped. None but himself can alter his destiny. For example, one man is an oppressor as others are willing to be slaves. One man is a leader because others accept him as one. One man is a Guru because he is able to teach others and they are willing to learn from him. There are cynics also in this world who think that the world is bad, bankrupt or boring. Nobody cares for cynics and so they don’t care for others.
Cynics are lousy people; they insist on building barricades around themselves, closing the door and preventing others from coming in. They sit in ivory towers and don’t attempt to build bridges with others. Remember that it takes less effort to smile than to cry! Walter S. Landor said: “Kindness in ourselves is the honey that blunts the sting of unkindness in others. We pass through this world but once and if there is any kindness we can show, or any good thing we can do, let us do it now, let us not defer or neglect it, for we shall not pass this way again. The higher a man lifts his thoughts, the more upright and righteous he becomes; the greater will be his success and more blessed and enduring will be his achievements. So don’t blame others if we are odd.
Whatever we scatter or throw into this world comes back multifold but the only mystery is that we don’t know from where. Like a decorative light made of bits of coloured paper during Diwali, Christmas or any other inner urges, feelings and passions. So reveal thyself as no one can stop you!
