Assures Inclusive Growth As New MPCC Chief

Mumbai : New Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief Ashok Chavan has indicated that his would be an inclusive leadership that would take everyone along to pose a united front in the State, where the party performance was very poor during parliamentary as well as assembly polls.

“Rane is ours. There might have been some misgivings but we shall sort it out,” the new MPCC chief said here on Monday as he took charge of the office.

He also indicated that he shall soon be touring across the state while highlighting the woes of farmers and various communities that have been on the receiving end due to Govt policies.

The new MPCC chief went to the Siddhivinayak temple and also paid respects at Dr. Ambedkar memorial at Chaityabhoomi and also at Chhatrapati Shivaji’s statue at Shivaji Park in Dadar.

 Assembly condoles R R Patil, Pansare

The Maharashtra Legislature paid tributes to former state Home Minister late R R Patil and CPI leader Govind Pansare, with members lauding their contribution in political and social sectors of the state, as the assembly session began here on Monday.

A condolence motion for Patil, other former legislators who passed away recently, and also for Pansare, was tabled by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in the House.
