Though inquiry has been conducted,  no conclusions have been drawn yet

Mumbai : Even 20 days after the Dehradun Express tragedy, the mystery over the cause of the incident that claimed nine lives remains unsolved.

Central Railway Security Officer, Padam Singh Baghel said, “We have conducted an inquiry into the matter but no conclusions have been drawn yet. We have asked for some reports from the railway authorities after which examination will be further done. The Kalina Forensic lab reports might have been submitted to the division but is not known to me.”
The samples of the train were sent to Kalina Forensic lab for examination. Sources claim, “The reports from the lab have ruled out the possibility of any explosive in the train that could have led to the fire. Moreover, there were no conclusive reports to ascertain the presence of inflammable material that could have triggered the fire in the reports.”
WR Divisional Manager Shailendra Kumar said, “ People were gathered for the inquiry and two eyewitnesses have also submitted their statements but so far no conclusive reports have been submitted to the railways.”
