Bhayandar : The Navghar Police arrested a watchman on charges of raping a minor in teh neighbourhood on Friday.
According to Navghar Police sources, the incident was reported from an under construction building site in Bhayandar (E).
The accused identified as twenty-three years old Mangesh Kamble, employed as a watchman at a construction site, allegedly raped the 14-year-old daughter of a construction worker.
The victim revealed about the ordeal to her parents who immediately lodged a complaint with the police following which a team from the Navghar police station led by sub-inspector Prashant Shirke arrested the accused. He was nabbed under section 376 of the IPC and also under the relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), 2012.
