Mumbai: Kharghar police have arrested a chain snatcher, who was wanted in several cases by Mumbai, Palghar and Navi Mumbai police on March 14. The arrested accused, identified as Mohammad Israr Israel Khan, a resident of Mumbra, had targetted several victims after doing a thorough recce of the road as well as the victims’ profile.
Police have recovered 255 grams of gold from Khan’s residence, which he confessed to having snatched off his victims. Police said the accused, Khan has at least 14 cases registered against him at police stations, including Kharghar, Kashimira, Naya Nagar, Shivaji Nagar, Nerul and Bangur Nagar.
