Bhayandar : A team of Valiv police led by API Rani Puri arrested a gang of robbers from Siddharth Nagar district in Uttar Pradesh. The gang had robbed a truck loaded with bundles of copper plates worth more than Rs 28 lakhs from a warehouse of a transport company in Sativali industrial area on May 8.
Ali Hussain Sheikh alias Abdullah (24), Niaz Sheikh alias Bablu and Ram Niwas Yadav are indetified as accused in this case. The police nabbed the trio, recovered the truck and a major part of the stolen consignment. According to police, the robbery was reported from Rakesh Transport. The main accused Ali Hussain Sheikh, who worked as a driver, fled with the truck loaded with copper. Sheikh confessed to the crime and revealed wher-eabouts of his accomplices.
