Bhayandar : Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray will perform the bhoomipujan of the twin-city’s first drama theatre near Dahisar Check-Post in Kashimira on August 30. Cultural affairs minister Vinod Tawde, guardian minister Eknath Shinde and other dignitaries will remain present on this occasion.
The project had hit a technical road block after the developer shied away from handing over the possession of land to the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation all these years.
Sensing an apparent ploy by the developer of gobbling up the space, Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik followed-up on the issue prompting the MBMC to act swiftly and take over possession of the plot. Having facilities matching to international standards, the main auditorium will accommodate 1,200 audience with advanced lights, sounds.
