Prithviraj Chavan, Senior Congress leader and Former Chief Minister said that Uddhav Thackeray should have come to the state assembly and expressed his view on the current scenario instead of expressing his views on Facebook live. He further said that Now Uddhav Thackeray has lost fighting spirit.

Chavan said this while giving interviews to TV news channels. He said, "The Supreme court verdict was confusing. There are many points which have not been cleared yet. There is no clarity on anti defection criteria met or not, the role of speakers and Governor."

"Uddhav Thackeray should have put forth his view within the state assembly. Thereafter, he could have resigned. People should have known his views similarly, Congress and NCP could have got opportunity to speak and informed people that why they have formed MVA government," Said Chavan."

I am personally disappointed with the Uddhav Thackeray's decision. There is difference in speaking on the Facebook live and state assembly session. Speeches in assembly are kept on record. Chavan said that Uddhav couldn't judge that huge number of MLAs were disappointed in MVA government. He kept saying that how was I ditched by my own people but it is the question of leadership.

He further said that Eknath Shinde had wish to become Chief Minister of Maharashtra the way Manohar Joshi became CM in 1994. When MVA government was formed that time NCP chief Sharad Pawar had taken a view that both NCP and Congress has number of senior leader and it would difficult for them to work under Shinde hence requested Uddhav Thackeray to become CM.
