Top cop ‘intolerant’ to corruption

Mumbai : It seems that the city’s top cop, Datta Padsalgikar, is in no mood to spare any corrupt officer in his team. This is why the Commissioner has issued a notice to all the departments of Mumbai Police and have warned his force that any form of corruption won’t be tolerated. This notice comes post the arrest of 52-year-old Police Inspector Sanjay Sawant of Kurar Polcie station who had demanded a total amount of Rs 14 lakh from a lady to free her husband of all the charges against him. Padsalgikar, in his notice, has warned that a strict action would be taken against those who would indulge in any corrupt practice.
