Thane: Monsoon has picked up in the Thane city from Thursday, June 30 and It has started raining heavily in Thane. During the heavy rain on Thursday, the Thane civic chief Dr Vipin Sharma inspected the roads, footpaths, Satis Project in Thane (East) and other spots in Kopri area of Thane. The civic chief during inspection instructed all the concerned officials to complete all the necessary works on time.
Dr Sharma visited Bara Bangla Premises, Shanti Nagar, Thanekar Wadi, Koparigaon, Krishna Borkar Marg, Kopari Cemetery, Thane East Satis Project, Ashtavinayak Chowk, Mithbandar Road, Mangala High School and CIDCO Bus Stop.
He inspected all the beautification works started under Thane Smart City Ltd. and it included a detailed review of the road and footpath renovation from Ashtavinayak Chowk to Ganesh Visarjan Ghat (Mithbandar Road), parking lot, recreational facilities, electric lighting, renovation of jetty road and many other facilities.
Speaking to FPJ, he said, "During the inspection tour at Kopari area in Thane, I gave priority to the cleanliness of the city and instructed all the people concerned to carry out regular cleaning of roads, repair of roads, painting and cleaning of sidewalks even during the monsoon."
Additional commissioner of TMC Sandeep Malvi, additional commissioner Sanjay Herwade, municipal engineer Prashant Songra, deputy commissioner Maruti Khodke, deputy commissioner Shankar Patole, deputy commissioner Anagha Kadam, additional municipal engineer Arjun Ahire, deputy municipal engineer Vinod Gupta , deputy municipal engineer Gunwant Zambare as well as assistant commissioner, executive Engineer, deputy Engineer and other municipal officers were present during the inspection.
