Mumbai : The long distance commuters will feel the pinch while purchasing the tatkal tickets as the railways will be selling 50 percent of these on dynamic pricing. Under the dynamic pricing scheme the fare of the tickets will go up with the increase in the demand unlike now when it remained constant irrespective of the demand. The decision has been implemented on the Central and Western Railway from October 3. If there are 100 seats in the talkal quota, 50 will be sold on fixed price of Rs 500. However, after that the dynamic pricing will start wherein there will be a 10 percent hike and the ticket will be sold at Rs. 510 and the price will further increase with the sale of tickets.
