Mumbai Marathon’s new title sponsor The Tata Group has replaced Standard Chartered Bank, which has been the marathon’s sponsor for a decade now. From its 2018 edition, the run will be called TATA Mumbai Marathon. The event is considered to be amongst the top ten marathons in the world. It also has its own fundraising platform managed by United Way Mumbai. The platform has over the years managed to successfully raise Rs 196 crore with the help of 512 NGOs and has become one of the largest philanthropic sporting events in the country. NGOs supporting various causes and issues have registered themselves with the United Way Mumbai. All you need to do is choose the NGO you wish to help and proceed. In case, if there is any specific NGO you wish to support and is not on the list then you can urge them to register themselves.

Minimum age eligibility: 18 years as on race day (Born on or before January 20, 2000)
Distance and time cut-off:
42.195 km – 7 hours (both men and women)
25 km – 3 hours 18 min for men, 3 hours 35 min for women
21.097 km (Half Marathon) – 2 hours 45 min for men, 3 hours for women
Application fee of marathon (inclusive of GST 18 percent)
Domestic applicants: Rs 2,000
Overseas applicants: USD 50
