Palghar : Nalasopara was the scene of the suspicious suicide of a teenager who was found hanging on the terrace of a building on Saturday morning. While the police have termed this as a prima-facie case of suicide, the family members allege that there was no reason for him to kill himself 200 metres away from his home in a building where he didn’t reside. His body was found hanging from the iron rod of the terrace shed.
The family of the victim received a call around 9 am on Saturday informing them that their son, Dheeraj Kumar Mishra, aged 18 years, had committed suicide on the terrace of a building in the Sriprashtha locality situated in Nalasopara (west). The caller then hung up and switched off the phone. The family members then rushed to the spot to check for Dheeraj as he had left his home a day earlier, around 3 pm on Friday, and had been missing since. Assuming that he had gone along with his friends for Ganesh visarjan, they didn’t bother calling him but got worried when he failed to return by midnight.
Meanwhile, the body has been sent to JJ hospital for postmortem and further investigations are on.
