Mumbai : The Maharashtra government is going to set up cyber laboratories to prevent cyber crimes in the state. The laboratories will be set up by February-end next year.
“The government has a plan to set up laboratories in all 36 districts with the help of experts in the field. The tender for the setting up of such laboratories will be the invited very soon,” said the state finance minister, Sudhir Mungantiwar.
Mungantiwar discussed the issue with senior police officials and senior bureaucrats in the Mantarlaya. In the meeting with these officials, the functioning of the cyber laboratories has been discussed and it was concluded that the contract would be given to a private firm for the setting up of the laboratories.
