Mumbai: Rubabuddin Sheikh, the brother of gangster and encounter victim Sohrabuddin Sheikh, Monday alleged before the special CBI court here that one of the accused, a former Gujarat police officer, threatened him. The trial of cases related to alleged fake encounters of Sohrabuddin and Tulsiram Prajapati by Gujarat police has been shifted to Mumbai. Sheikh’s application said that former sub-inspector of police Naresh Chauhan threatened him Monday in the court before the proceedings started. Chauhan’s bail should be cancelled and action should be initiated against him, the application said. Judge B H Loya directed Chauhan to file a reply. The matter is likely to come up for further hearing next month.
