Mumbai : In protest of being compared to dogs by Abhijeet Bhattacharya and the subsequent interim relief that actor Salman Khan got, several slum dwellers gathered on Friday and demonstrated outside the High court.
The slum dwellers raised their opinion against the interim relief the actor got in the hit and run cases soon after he was sentenced to five years of imprisonment by the Sessions Court by holding placards, which read ‘No bail for Salman Khan’. They shouted slogans outside the court premises stating ‘Be Humane before being human’. In protest of singer Anbhijeet Bhattacharya’s comment comparing those sleeping on the streets to dogs, the protestors held a placard which read ‘The homeless are not dogs!! They are the city makers’.
