Thane : Six persons including four of a family were seriously injured when a container cra-shed into the hutments situ-ated on the Mumbra by-pass here this morning, officials from Disaster Control Cell of Thane Municipal Corporation said.
The incident took place near Siddharth Nagar colony on the bypass, and when one of the containers passing by applied sudden breaks to save a boy crossing the road following which the other container coming from behind rammed into it, Chief of Disaster Control Cell, Santosh Kadam said.
Subsequently, the vehicle turned turtle and fell on the hutments injuring six persons including three children. The injured were rushed to CSMH Hospital at Kalwa. The injured are: Apsarin Talvaskar(50), Yaseem Talvaskar(13), Ammu Talvasakar (9), Altaf Talvasakar (8), Jitendra Jaiswal (31) and driver Rambadan Prajapati. -PTI
