Mumbai : Leader of opposition in the state legislative assembly Vinod Tawde has accused the UPA government in the state and appealed the people to shun the government that has been engaged in corruption for all over the past 15 years and duped the state of crores of rupees.

Tawde was speaking after inaugurating the second phase of the ‘Sangharasha Yatra’ at Chalisgaon in the northern Maharashtra. The Yatra was started by Pankaja Palwe, daughter of the late BJP leader in the state Gopinath Munde.

The government, in past 15 years, has caused a loss to the state exchequer to the tune of Rs. 12 lakh crore. Ajit Pawar is denying all allegations of corruption, but various government agencies have pointed fingers to various cases of corruption. The governments in last 15 years have taken decisions that unduly favored the builders and certain industries, causing a huge loss to the state, Tasde said. “BJP shall go to every village soon and tell people about the corruption during the tenure of this government,” he added.

Pankaja Munde appealed the people to vote for ‘Mahayuti’ to strengthen Modi at the centre.  The Yatra is scheduled to visit various places across northern, western and central Maharashtra till Sept 18.
