Shiv Sena’s new nominees elected for top BMC posts

MUMBAI: It is alliance time and now both the saffron parties are supporting each other. All the nominees for the plum posts of the BMC committees are from the Shiv Sena. Yashwant Jadhav has been elected for the second time as the chairman of the standing commitee.

Sadanand Parab has been made for the improvements committee and Anil Patankar has replaced Ashish Chemburkar as the chairman of the BEST Committee. Anjali Naik has been elected as the chairman of Education Committee. The postings are for the year, 2019-2020 and the elections for the committees were held at the BMC headquarters.

In fact members of no other party filed their nominations against these candidates. The Sena has majority of members in BMC, with 94 seats and has been ruling the BMC since the last 25 years.
