Mumbai: The NCP Chief Sharad Pawar visited Tiware dam site which was recently breached. The villagers expressed their anguish against Shiv Sena legislator and contractor of the dam, Sadanand Chavan and demanded strong action against him and the officers.

The villagers even demanded to rehabilitate them far from the village. Pawar said that he would not make any political allegations on this issue. NCP distributed Rs1 Lakh cheque each to the family members of the deceased.

He also promised to follow up with the state and central government for demanding relief and rehabilitation for the dam breach affected families.
