Sativali jewellery shop burglary case cracked

Palghar : The Waliv police cracked the Rs 26 lakh jewellery shop burglary that took place in Sativili, Vasai east on the night of July 29. The burglary was masterminded by members of notorious Shikhalkar gang.

On August 18, the cops first arrested Bhusi Singh (32), resident of Bhiwandi, and Vikki Singh (26), resident of Pune, and then post interrogating them, arrested their other two accomplices identified as Kundan Singh and his friend from Kalyan.

The cops have also arrested 24-year-old jeweller Monu Seth from Kalyan for allegedly purchasing the stolen items from these gangsters. The cops have so far recovered jewelry worth Rs 14 lakh from the accused. Bhusi Singh and Vikki Singh are notorious criminals who have offences registered against them (32 cases and 16 cases respectively)  across Maharashtra.

The police teams involved in cracking this case had very less clues to follow as the accused had also stolen the CCTV DVR. However, banking on their informants police teams got few vital clues which led to the arrests of accused. This is the second big breakthrough by the Palghar police which could help them regain deter amongst anti-social elements. Last week also police had thwarted a major crime when they nabbed six criminals who were loaded with guns, bullets and knives.
