LoP in Assembly Vikhe-Patil lambasts BJP govts over farmers’ issues even as state BJP chief Danve criticises Congress party for observing death anniversary of ‘Achche Din’
Mumbai : Leader of Opposition in the State Legislative Assembly Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil lambasted the BJP governments both at the centre as well as the state over the farmers’ issues. At the same time BJP state unit president Raosaheb Danve too criticised the Congress saying that the opposition party should realise that people observed its (Congress’) death anniversary a year back.
Speaking to reporters after his tour of the drought-hit Marathwada region, Vikhe Patil told reporters here on Tuesday that the Congress demand for loan waiver for farmers in areas where crop yield has been less than 50 paise for three consecutive years, has not yet got response from the State government.
He wondered what “Achche
Din” has been ushered in by the BJP when it had failed to mitigate the hardships of farmers and also failed to set up a single cattle and fodder camp in districts hit by drought.
“Instead of spending crores of rupees to publicise its completion of one year in office, common man should feel that ‘Achche din’ have come. The string of failures of the NDA government at the Centre has continued with the BJP-led Maharashtra government as well,” Vikhe-Patil said.
He also rued that ministers and guardian ministers have not undertaken a single tour of the drought-hit areas. “Due to lack of co-ordination between the local administration and State
government, people are bearing the brunt,” Vikhe-Patil charged.
Meanwhile, hitting out at Congress for observing the ‘death anniversary of achche din’ as Modi government completes one year in office, BJP state unit chief Raosaheb Danve on Tuesday said the opposition party should realise that people observed its (Congress’) death anniversary a year back.
“What death anniversary of ‘achche din’ will they observe? People of this country have observed their (Congress’) death anniversary a year back. In Rs 12, you do not even get to buy a shroud and we are giving insurance to crores of people for that amount. Isn’t this achche din? The Congress is only trying to revive the morale of party workers that has hit an all-time low,” Danve said while speaking to reporters on the occasion of the BJP-ledCentral government’s completion of one year in power.
He claimed that Modi has performed ‘miracles’ in his one-year stint.
