Rs 100 per answer, cheats sought Rs 1000 for delivery to students

Nanded: In a shocking revelation, authorities in Nanded have said that answer sheets for the 12th board exams are being sold for Rs 100 outside various examination centres. Moreover, the beneficiaries were asked to pay Rs 1,000 for delivering the answer sheets to the classrooms. The exam answer sheets were sold outside the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose junior college in Panbhosi, of Kandhar taluka. Worse still, this incident occurred under the nose of the police deployed at this centre on February 22.

The leaked paper was of Hindi examination. Within half an hour after the question paper was distributed in the classroom, someone had leaked it, answers were prepared immediately by few youngsters and sold for Rs 100 per answer. Moreover, they demanded a price of Rs 1000 to deliver all the answer sheets to the students appearing for the examination.  A similar incident was reported in Shivaji Vidyalay, adjacent to Netaji Bose junior college. The Higher Secondary Certificate board examinations are being conducted at 81 centres in Nanded, wherein 37,782 students of 261 colleges are appearing for it.

Strict rules have been implemented this year to avoid cheating or leaking of question papers. Cellphones too are banned and moreover, the working and non-working staff of the institutions have been banned from using their cellphones. Group officer of education department has assured of thorough investigations.
