The royal couple laid a wreath at the memorial in the hotel in the presence of Tata Group chairman emeritus Ratan Tata and Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry.

Later, Prince Charles went to the Soonabai Pirojsha Godrej Marine Ecology Centre in Vikhroli, northeast Mumbai. He took a tour of a medicinal herbs reserve and a boat ride in the area, which is bordered by rich mangroves.
