Mumbai : Long distance passengers arriving at CST station late in the night will not have to worry for food as a new Food Plaza is all set to be reopened on the mainline concourse. The eating joint is likely to be reopened in the General Managers of Central Railway (CR) as well as Western Railway (WR) on August 15.
The eating joint which is being operated by IRCTC was sealed and the contract of the company Goel & Goel which earlier operated it was terminated. The decision to seal the property was taken by CR after Goel & Goel, which operated the eating joint alleged that the first floor of the eating joint was illegally occupied.
However, according to officials of CR the first floor was sub let by Goel & Goel to another party which violated the agreement. The contract for operating the eating joint was allotted to Goel & Goel by IRCTC in 2008.
