Re-evaluation result: Pune University students up in arms against delay

Mumbai: More than 70 students of the Pune University (PU) staged a protest on Thursday as they have not received their reevaluation results. Students were informed they would receive their reevaluation results by June 30, but are yet to receive it.

Out of the entire batch of the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) course, around 70 to 75 per cent students have failed in the Business Regulatory Framework (BFM). The students claim it was shocking to see so many of them flunk the exam, only in this one particular subject.

The students applied for the re-evaluation process and were assured that they would receive the result of the re-corrected answersheet by June 30. But, they have not received it yet. Ajinkyarana Patil, leader of the student wing of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), said, “Students have not received their reevaluation results. We want to meet the university authorities to question them regarding this delay.” The university students staged a protest on the campus on Thursday. They claimed they will meet the Vice-Chancellor (VC) and discuss the way forward.
