Rapper Badshah records statement in fake social media followers case

The singer has got millions of views for almost all of his songs, while one of his songs reportedly got 75 million views in a single day

The city crime branch investigating the fake social media followers case, on Friday recorded the statement of popular Bollywood rapper Aditya Pratik Singh Sisodia better known as Badshah in connection with the case. The Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) of the Mumbai crime branch had earlier summoned the singer to appear before them for questioning in the case.

According to the police officials, the singer has got millions of views for almost all of his songs, while one of his songs reportedly got 75 million views in a single day.

The crime branch that prepared a list of questions for the singer, wanted to know whether the singer too had hired the services fake influencers in order to increase his fan followings.

The CIU has already recorded statements of many celebrities in connection with the case including actress Koena Mitra and many others.

The case came to light when singer Bhoomi Trivedi complained about her fake Instagram account, during the investigation police arrested one Abhishek Daude for handling many fake social media profiles for a foreign company.
