Mumbai: After the Bachelor of Mass Media students were given old syllabus question paper only a few days ago, which delayed their paper by an hour, on Monday they were given a question paper replete with spelling mistakes. The ‘Internet issues and global media’ paper they were answering had spelling mistakes right from the first question onwards which misspelled ‘site’ as ‘ste’. The second question misspelled ‘rejected’ as ‘regected’. In the third, ‘influences’ was misspelled as ‘imphences’, ‘compromising’ as ‘compromisily’ and ‘activism’ as ‘activision’. In total there were six spelling errors in the 75 mark and two and a half hour duration paper they were answering. A student who answered the paper at Don Bosco College said a faculty did come to correct the errors but after much time had passed. Deepak Wasave, officiating controller of examinations called these errors ‘proofreading’ mistakes. (By Staff Reporter)
