‘Pregnancy Mela’ for would-be mothers

Mumbai : Cloudnine Hospital in Malad organised a two-day workshop on Saturday and Sunday for would-be mothers and couples who were accompanied  by doctors with an aim to provide information and deep insight into natural birth, cesarean section which was followed by panel discussions on issues related to early child birth. This initiative was for engaging all couples and doctors with information on topics related to pregnancy for which more than 50 couples had showed up. The workshop incorporated guidance on varied topics including pregnancy management, new-born care and breastfeeding.

Surinder Dang, regional director of Cloudnine Hospital said, “The ‘Pregnancy Mela’ was conceptualized with an aim to celebrate pregnancy which is one of the most special phases in a woman’s life. Every pregnancy is different and is loaded with a long list of do’s and don’ts. Therefore, to simplify the lives of expecting mothers, we had decided to organize this wonderful and informative workshop. It is not just the mothers-to-be who would benefit from the workshop but the event had a lot in store for the fathers as well providing guidance on new born care.”
