Mumbai : A person attached to a political party has been arrested by Kasturba police on Sunday night, for allegedly raping a woman for several years by blackmailing her with her nude videos and photographs. Kasturba police is further investigating the matter.
The accused has been identified as Sunil alias Dayal Yadav (26) and is a resident of Borivali east. The victim is also a resident of the same area and therefore in 2009, the accused had met the victim, and became friends. The accused took the woman to a lodge in the same year and raped her. During the incident, the accused managed to record a nude video and take photographs. According to the police, the accused blackmailed the victim and used to even assault her. The accused had beaten the victim in 2013 and had also demanded money or else he would make the video public. When the victim protested, the accused threatened her with an acid attack.
Fed up with the daily black-mailing activities of the accused, the victim finally wrote a letter to the Kasturba police and imme-diately the police arrested him.
