Mumbai : The 35-year-old Polish woman, who had been kept inside Juhu police station along with her two-year-old daughter, is still in Mumbai now with a criminal case registered against her. Everyone believed that she had been deported but a recent FIR filed with Sahar police station reveals that the woman is still in detention.

The Sahar police arrested her on Sunday night as she allegedly assaulted a lady officer inside the detention cell at the Deportation Department.

Polish woman Joanna Malgoriata Kucharska alias Anandani was produced before the Andheri Court on Monday and sent to judicial custody. Sadly, Anandani’s two-year-old daughter Meenakshee too has to bear the brunt of everything. Even on Monday when she was produced in the Andheri Court, the daughter accompanied her. Also now, when Anandani would be sent to the Byculla jail, the two-year-old daughter will be with her.

On Sunday afternoon, Anandani allegedly assaulted the lady officer for Deportation Department Shabnum Mulani. The Immigration Department then filed an official complaint with the Sahar police, following which she was arrested.

“She was kept inside the Immigration Department room and we provided everything to her. The police officials were having tough time making documents for Anandani’s daughter Meenakshee, as she was born in India. According to current documents, Anandani can be deported but not her daughter and therefore the process is taking so long,” Madhukar Shankhe, Assistant Commissioner (Airport Division), told FPJ.
