Mumbai : After a five-year-old girl was found raped on Sunday night, the Sahar police are probing if the unidentified rickshaw driver who is suspected to have raped her at a secluded spot in Aarey Colony was known to the father of the victim, who is also a rickshaw driver.
The minor’s medical reports not only confirmed that she was raped but also revealed that the accused had subjected the victim to unnatural sex. The minor is a resident of J B Nagar, Andheri. “We are probing if the rapist was known to the victim’s father as he too is a rickshaw driver. We have a few suspects. The girl is admitted in Cooper Hospital and is recovering,” said an official. A case has been registered against the unidentified rickshaw driver.
