Mumbai : After the incident that took place in Colaba on Monday where a 25-year-old man masturbated at a US national, a 23-year-old woman has come up with a similar complaint. Srishti Singh has alleged that the driver of an auto she was travelling in started masturbating in front of her on Tuesday night.

The incident took place around 8:30 pm when Singh on her way home in Rizvi Colony from Malad station. According to Singh, when had came out of the station looking for an auto, around 4-5 drivers refused fare.

However, the accused readily agreed after which she boarded his vehicle.

Singh also claimed that the driver purposely took her on a longer route, which gets deserted in the evening. Upon asking, the driver told her that he did it to avoid traffic. When Singh finally reached her destination and was giving him the money, the driver flashed at her. When she raised an alarm, he fled from the spot but Singh managed to note down his vehicle’s registration number which ends with ends with 4516.

Singh now intends to lodge an FIR against the pervert so that he can be punished for his offence.

Meanwhile, the Colaba Police on Wednesday morning arrested the man who was caught on camera after he allegedly masturbated at an American woman in broad daylight. He is identified as Gopal Valmiki and was apprehended by police in early morning hours. Maryanna Abdo claimed on Twitter that Valmiki masturbated at her when she was taking a morning walk in the area, and ran away when confronted.

The American writer, however, managed to capture his photo and tweeted it immediately, catching the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Office attention. Police had yesterday recorded the woman’s statement and registered an FIR. The accused has been booked under Section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult modesty of a woman) of the IPC.
